India completed its Chandrayaan-3 mission on Wednesday, becoming the fourth nation after the former USSR, the US, and China to soft-land on the moon after 18 minutes of intense worry and suspense.
“We managed to land gently on the moon. S. Somnath, the chairman of Isro, declared, “India is on the moon. India became the first nation to set foot on the South Pole portion of the lunar surface, and it did so for a mere Rs 615 crore.
“This is the beginning of a golden era for India. We are launching the Aditya L1 mission to study the sun next month itself,” Somnath said. He stated that the first unmanned test for Gaganyaan would probably happen by the end of September or the first week of October. A new era of launches for small satellite launch vehicles and polar satellite launch vehicles is also being considered by the nation.
