According to the most recent study, India has become a significant source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Dubai, one of the richest of the seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a survey published by “fDi Markets,” a service from the UK’s Financial Times Ltd.,it was among the top five source nations for both declared FDI projects and estimated FDI capital.
The leading industries for FDI projects from India entering Dubai in 2022 were software & IT services (32%), business services (19%), consumer items (9%) real estate (6%) and financial services (5%) with 77.5% of greenfield projects.
In addition to continuing to be the top destination city for FDI from India, Dubai also kept the op ranking globally for luring new FDI projects in 2022, further solidifying its status as the top centre for FDI worldwide.
According to the data for 2022, Dubai maintained to hold the top spot in terms of important FDI attraction parameters.
The emirate came in top place for luring FDI projects into the sectors of consumer goods, software & IT services, business services, financial services, transportation and warehousing, and tourism.
Dubai became the global leader in 2022 in attracting FDI projects in the cluster of the creative industries, in research and development projects, and in attracting FDI project headquarters by hosting global and regional offices of international corporations.
