In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, Tata Cummins Private Limited (TCPL) has opened a factory to create internal combustion engines for medium and heavy commercial vehicles that run on hydrogen.

Within a year of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) being signed with the Jharkhand government, the factory, spanning around seven acres, was put into operation. The factory will produce low- to zero-emission technological items in addition to engines.

A subsidiary of TCPL, TCPL Green Energy Solutions (TCPL GES), was established in March 2023 with the express purpose of creating low- and zero-emission propulsion technology solutions. These remedies seek to lower greenhouse gas emissions to combat climate change and enhance air quality.

Future mobility in India will be shaped by the hydrogen-based powertrain aggregates and systems manufactured here, which will make it more intelligent and environmentally friendly. We are still dedicated to working with our clients to help them create better tomorrows by empowering them to gradually implement emission-free, profitably viable solutions for the movement of people and goods.

Manufacturing cutting-edge low- to zero-emission products that promote decarbonization is more than simply a promise. It is an obligation supported by tangible deeds. Driven by worldwide experience, strategic alliances, and
technological prowess, we are steadily advancing our Destination Zero plan.
