The current method for creating green hydrogen splits water into its two component parts, hydrogen and oxygen. Renewable energy sources like wind or sun are used to power the split. It hasn’t been manufactured in India on a large scale yet. Grey hydrogen, on the other hand, which is used in industry, is created from fossil fuels, primarily natural gas.
The largest barrier to the manufacturing of green hydrogen right now is cost. The national green hydrogen mission’s launch this year is anticipated to change the situation, though.
